Hygiene and protection concept for the Covid 19 pandemic

Hygiene and protection concept for the Covid 19 pandemic 21/22

Hygiene and protection concept of the Bergwelt Oberstaufen ski school  ( based on the hygiene and protection concept of the German Ski Instructors Association)

1. Principle
Sport (winter sports) is firmly anchored in society as a whole. It gives support, motivation, perspective, confidence, emotions and a job for many people in Germany. Sport helps you cope with everyday mental and physical life, strengthens your immune system and increases your own energy level. In this context, physical activity in nature plays a decisive role, as being in the fresh air adds to physical and mental exercise and has a positive effect on people. Sport and exercise in (winter) nature make it easier to keep distance rules and reduce the risk of infection.

2. Objective
The Bergwelt Oberstaufen ski school would like to ensure that snow sports activities are possible in times of the Covid-19 pandemic. In order to guarantee this, we have defined certain conditions and rules, the implementation and compliance of which are monitored so that we can all practice this wonderful sport in nature with joy, lust and positive emotions. Our goal is to prevent infections in the context of snow sports courses, through prudence, caution and clear guidelines. If an infection has occurred in our environment and has been proven, it is our task to identify all contact persons in the shortest possible time so that they are informed accordingly.

3. Rules for the announcement of snow sports offers
In connection with the tender, customers will already be informed about the hygiene and protection concept of the Bergwelt Oberstaufen ski school. The teachers are informed about the hygiene and protection concept as part of the preparation for winter. The general terms and conditions have been adjusted, such the obligation to comply with applicable distance and hygiene rules (exception regulations for children), exclusion from participation in courses in the event of an infection or symptoms including the cancellation conditions that apply, rejection or termination by the snow sports school, withdrawal and cancellation conditions, e.g. resignation by the customer in the event of an infection or symptoms – obligation on the part of the customer to inform the snow sports school immediately and truthfully.

5. Rules for the organization of snow sports courses
The SARS-CoV-2 occupational health and safety regulations, published by the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs for additional occupational health and safety measures for in-house infection protection, are optimally adhered to according to our circumstances. We try to adhere to the known distance rules of at least 1.5 m for snow sports courses whenever possible. When looking after and teaching children, it is a little more difficult to keep the distances. Experience has shown that it is neither possible nor sensible to require that distance rules be observed, especially for children of kindergarten age. However, with the necessary closeness and attention, we will ensure that the teacher explains his “reserved” behavior to the children at the beginning and that he pays attention to his behavior Avoid direct close eye contact (face in front of face) and rather turn away from the face if proximity is required. The hygiene rules such as regular hand hygiene with liquid soap for guests and employees as well as the regular cleaning of rooms and all materials and devices used with liquid soap must be applied. In our premises, a plexiglass pane is installed between guests / customers and employees at the checkout / reception / rental and catering. Mouth and nose protection is mandatory for guests and employees when arriving by bus, in the ski school office, at the assembly point, in the lifts and on the way to the break. We have adapted the organizational processes in the ski school office in connection with the care of guests to the spatial conditions. This applies to the max. Number of people who are allowed to stay in the office of our ski school at the same time, for the provision of disinfectants, for information boards and path markings / barriers, information on the process of personal course registration. The individual protective measures (transport rules, mouth and nose protection, distance rules, reservation, organization, etc.) are coordinated with our ski area operator and in our in-house catering and both your guests / customers and your teachers are informed of the respective requirements. We will practice guest and teacher management in such a way that the relevant contact persons can be traced and passed on to the responsible authorities in the event of a proven infection.

6. Rules for conducting snow sports courses
At the beginning of the course and for acceptance, we will plan more time overall and notify our customers. The assembly point offers enough space that all groups can meet with their teachers, taking into account the applicable distance rules. (We make certain exceptions for children) The greeting takes place without the usual handshake, i.e. contactless. If children in particular need the help of the snow sports instructor (equipment, shoes, bindings, etc.), it must be ensured that there is no direct eye contact, but that the instructor turns his face away or helps standing sideways. At the assembly point, in the ski school office, in the lifts, including when queuing and on the way to the lunch break, you are required to wear mouth and nose protection (Baff). In the case of kindergarten courses in particular, the entire organization and implementation is planned and coordinated in close cooperation with the kindergarten. The different forms of organization in the classroom are selected in such a way that the applicable distance rules of at least 1.5 m must be observed. (Except for children) Fewer guests per teacher makes it easier to comply with the organizational rules and thus to protect guests and teachers. The organization of breaks will be done in such a way that distance and hygiene rules are observed, with different breaks. The award ceremony takes place exclusively within the group and not in a large group with all guests / customers. The responsible persons and the teachers monitor the observance of the rules and should ask guests / customers and other snow sports enthusiasts to comply with the rules in the event of disregard. Guests / customers who constantly oppose the instructions of the teachers or those responsible can be excluded from further course participation.

7. Rules for the guests
We inform the guests / customers about the measures to protect them as well as about the applicable distance and hygiene rules for the course offer. We inform the guests / customers about the mandatory wearing of mouth and nose protection in the ski school office, at the assembly point, in the children’s area, in the lifts and on the way to the lunch break. The respective rules of the respective company apply in restaurants and buses. Every guest / customer must check their current state of health. Covid-19 infected people or people with symptoms associated with Covid-19 cannot participate in the course. For guests / customers under the age of 18, this confirmation must be confirmed by the legal guardian. Guests / customers who arrive from the so-called “risk areas” according to the current list of the RKI (see Chapter 12), Those who have been in a risk area in the past 14 days or who have had contact with a corona-infected person and would like to participate in the course must have a negative SARS-CoV-2 test as a prerequisite for participation. With regard to the point in time, the testing must be carried out in accordance with the standards published by the Robert Koch Institute. We ask guests / customers to refrain from participating in après-ski events.

8. Rules for the teachers
We inform our teachers about the measures to protect them as well as about the applicable distance and hygiene rules for courses. We inform our teachers about the mandatory wearing of mouth and nose protection (Baff) in the ski school office, at the assembly point, in the children’s area, in the lifts and on the way to the lunch break. The respective rules of the respective company apply in restaurants and buses. Every teacher must check their current state of health on the first day of the course. Teachers infected with Covid-19 or who have known symptoms of Covid-19 cannot take the course. Teachers who arrive from the so-called “risk areas” according to the current list of the RKI (see Chapter 12), who have been in a risk area in the past 14 days or who have had contact with a corona-infected person and would like to participate in the course must have a negative SARS-Cov-2 test as a prerequisite for participation. With regard to the point in time, the testing must be carried out in accordance with the standards published by the Robert Koch Institute. We recommend that our teachers use the German government’s corona warning app and take their smartphone with them during the course. For courses in neighboring countries, the use of the respective national warning app is recommended. Even if the app is no longer active after returning to Germany, the participant will be informed about contact with a corona infected person. We urge our teachers to

9. Liability situation / coverage
We have adapted our general terms and conditions (GTC) to the conditions for participation and implementation provisions applicable in times of the Covid 19 pandemic and revised them if necessary. It is about the rights and obligations of guests / customers as well as the rights and obligations of the snow sports school. We will clarify and adapt our individual insurance situation with regard to corporate liability in the event of an outbreak of infection as part of the course offer.
