General terms and conditions
1.booking
Bookings for private and group courses can be made via the ski school website or directly at the ski school office. The registration is considered as firmly booked only after written confirmation by the ski school. Only the written confirmations are authoritative for the acceptance of the bookings and the scope of the service. Verbal or telephone side agreements are only valid with explicit, written confirmation by the ski school.
2. course prices
The course prices according to the price list of the season are valid. The prices are in Euro including VAT. The group course prices refer exclusively to the booking of continuous, bound days. The costs for the lift pass and the equipment are NOT included in the course price.
3. withdrawal and cancellation
Cancellations must be made in writing by e-mail to info@skischule-oberstaufen.de.
Cancellation of a booking is free of charge up to 5 days before the start of the course minus a handling fee of 20,- €.
For cancellations less than 5 days before the start of the course, the ski school reserves the right to retain or charge 50% of the course price. In addition, a handling fee of 20,- € will be charged.
In case of cancellation 24 hours or more before the start of the course, the ski school reserves the right to retain or charge 100% of the course price. The same applies in case of no-show.
4. force majeure – cancellation of courses
In principle, the courses take place in all weather conditions. Course times not used by the customer will not be refunded. The customer bears the risk of arriving on time. If a course has to be cancelled due to external conditions at least 24 hours before the start of the course, the course fees paid in advance will be refunded. The decision whether a course can not take place due to external conditions lies exclusively with the ski school.
If the course cannot take place for reasons of force majeure (e.g. storm, failure of lift facilities), no refund will be made. The ski school decides on the non-implementation or cancellation of a course.
5. refund in case of illness
A refund of the course in case of injury or illness is only possible with a certificate from a local doctor. The used course days will be calculated and the difference will be paid.
6. course organization and guarantee
The placement of the participant in the appropriate course is done by the ski school. Should it be necessary to change to another course class, this must be accepted by the customer. Otherwise, the ski school is entitled to cancel the contract.
If the number of participants is too low, the ski school has the right to combine groups of different course classes.
The ski school guarantees that the booked service corresponds to the contract, but without guaranteeing a certain learning success.
The ski school cannot guarantee that the booked course will be held by the same ski instructor every day.
It is not possible to change between a morning course and an afternoon course during the course.
7. number of participants in the group course
The number of participants per group course is at least 4 persons on each course day. If the number of participants is not reached, the ski school reserves the right to cancel the course at short notice, or to shorten the course times. The decision is at the discretion of the ski school.
In case of shortening the course time, the following rule applies:
2-3 participants: 2.0 hours
1 participant: 1,0 hours
8. helmet obligation and equipment
Helmets are compulsory for all participants during the course. The customer is requested to participate in the course only with properly maintained sports equipment and suitable clothing.
9. liability
The ski school declines any liability for accidents during the course even if third parties are involved. Accident and liability insurance is the responsibility of the course participant. The conclusion of a corresponding insurance, especially for participants from abroad, is expressly recommended.
The customer is obliged to inform the ski school comprehensively and truthfully about his abilities and experience in snow sports as well as about possible health restrictions.
The ski school does not provide compensation for lost items or lift tickets.
